The first annual OC meet was held at Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Campbell Hall NY. If you’re a local to Orange County you are well aware of the local car scene that we have up here. With the success of monthly meets at the Middletown Walmart, Nick Terzo, Steve Smedley and others decided to have an official daytime meet in a park like setting and the OC Meet was born.
This meet was not meant for a specifc make or model of car. Anyone who has an interest in cars were welcomed to bring imports, domestics, euro and anything in between.
Everything was well organized at this meet. Nice layout of all the vendors, real bathrooms, and also a DJ was in attendance. A lot of nice cars came throughout the day and the quality of cars was on point, no bombs here.
One of the things that caught my eye was this silver Civic. To the untrained eye this might appear to be a run of the mill Honda, upon closer inspection it is a legit Civic Type-R that is Right hand drive imported from Japan. Most are either Championship White, Black, or Yellow, few get imported to the states in this rare silver finish.
Speaking of stickers, I would like to take a time out and give Angela at StickerBomb NJ a shout out for making KeepItFlush alot of stickers in a short span of time, THANKS AGAIN!
As the colder weather is approaching, We are looking forward to seeing another local quality meet before the snow falls.
Before the winter ruins the good moods of everyone, I wanted to take this shoot of my friend Andy’s R32 & Brendan’s STI.
I would have to say these two cars are one of the nicest rides in Orange County!
It always turns out that the night before a big car meet/event the Keep It Flush staff always finds their way out to the bars or clubs. With the best intentions of it being an early sober night, it usually never is the case. The next morning usually consists of the standard issue wake up call or text in which we try to figure out who’s driving and a place to meet up. A lot of games are typically played at this point at which we tell each other that we are ready to go but in reality are half asleep in bed taking two aspirins. To make matters worse if you’re shot from the night before, the meet/event is usually a hot humid day in which you have to endure running on only a few hours sleep.
Water Fest 17 was no exception but of course when you get to the intended destination, you run on adrenaline and excitement of the event. Even with a late start to the day, we got to capture images of the nicest VW and Audi’s in the country. With some enthusiasts coming as far as Canada and California this two-day event never fails to please. Some might think KIF only caters to the likes of Japanese autos but we like any auto scene that has cars done right.
