The first annual OC meet was held at Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Campbell Hall NY. If you’re a local to Orange County you are well aware of the local car scene that we have up here. With the success of monthly meets at the Middletown Walmart, Nick Terzo, Steve Smedley and others decided to have an official daytime meet in a park like setting and the OC Meet was born.
This meet was not meant for a specifc make or model of car. Anyone who has an interest in cars were welcomed to bring imports, domestics, euro and anything in between.
Everything was well organized at this meet. Nice layout of all the vendors, real bathrooms, and also a DJ was in attendance. A lot of nice cars came throughout the day and the quality of cars was on point, no bombs here.
One of the things that caught my eye was this silver Civic. To the untrained eye this might appear to be a run of the mill Honda, upon closer inspection it is a legit Civic Type-R that is Right hand drive imported from Japan. Most are either Championship White, Black, or Yellow, few get imported to the states in this rare silver finish.
Speaking of stickers, I would like to take a time out and give Angela at StickerBomb NJ a shout out for making KeepItFlush alot of stickers in a short span of time, THANKS AGAIN!
As the colder weather is approaching, We are looking forward to seeing another local quality meet before the snow falls.
Honda Day is traditionally one of the biggest most anticipated events of the summer and for 2011, it’s two days long. Our resident photographer MPsarakis is currently on a month long vacation to a country where the time zone is seven hours ahead of ours (Yes the Keepitflush staff here is jealous). So I had to shoot this event all by my lonesome with a simple point and shoot instead of the standard issue DSLR Canon Rebel Xti so please excuse the quality. Just like any major event, people travel from all parts of the country, even some as far as Tennessee, and Canada to see all commuter cars in one place (Don’t get offended I do own a Honda). The weather held out for the entire duration of the event and I only caught in some rain while only 20 minutes from my house, I would like to add that I don’t have any wipers on my car so it was the longest 20 minute drive ever.
